Our Mission Field

The strong Christian faith that used to dominate the UK and Europe has virtually disappeared. The nations home to past theologians and missionaries now faces its own battles against secularism, paganism, and other religions. Chinese, English, or Multicultural Churches all struggle to grow and develop.

COCM plays a specific role, working with the Chinese churches and fellowships throughout the UK and Europe. Its participation with the churches ranges from training lay leaders to developing youth ministries, from raising intercessors to working with overseas students.

COCM assists the churches in developing programs to meet the needs of the various types of Chinese in the UK and Europe:

• Immigrants from Hong Kong and China, who have settled in the UK and Europe usually working in the catering trade;
• Second generation and local born Chinese, whose culture is a fusion between Chinese and Western;
• Students from China with an opportunity to pursue and study religion freely, often for the first time;
• Students from Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong given opportunities to hear, grow, serve, and fellowship in their university years.
